The saying goes 'you have to destroy to create', and from the piles of leather hides and scraps something new begins to emerge...

CONRAN The Way We Live Now

This show is an incredible archive of one man's mission to design and produce furniture for everyone that came from a fantastic work ethic - he only designed products he could make with his own hands. Some interesting examples of pieces in various stages of design to production, with original sketches and early TV footage from the 60's - always a joy to see!

Herringbone cotton shoe bags

Autumn gold initials on blue suede with tan laces. A lovely colour combination with the signature black sock and tan lining.

All moccasins come in a herringbone cotton drawstring bag with matching leather label in the chosen colourway. A special little extra.

Northampton

A factory visit to Northampton where the home of the shoemaking industry was, and still is to some degree. The characterful red brick buildings stand strong.

More...blue suede shoes

Blue suede is a current favourite for bespoke styles. This particular ribbon trim with a camel suede collar works so well!

Blue Suede Shoes

A special pair of bespoke moccasins. The customer used her own collection of pearls and beads which she sewed on to the toes as I was working on the rest of the shoes - a true collaboration!

This vintage trim is so vibrant, the black and ivory colours really stand out on the blue. I used an ivory waxed thread on the toes and heels to compliment the trim.
